Texarkana’s first medical marijuana dispensary has been approved to open.

According to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission, on Monday Bloom Medicinals was approved to open. The owners have not announced an opening date.

Bloom Medicinals is located at 410 Realtor Ave. in the building that once housed Vincent’s Fine Wine and Liquors.

On January 9, 2019, the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission named Bloom Medicinals of AR, LLC as one of the thirty-two operators to earn a license to operate a medical marijuana dispensary in the State of Arkansas. “We are looking forward to serving the residents of Arkansas and sharing our expertise,” said Nicole van Rensburg, CEO at the time. “We know a lot of patients have been waiting a very long time for the Arkansas program to launch, and we are honored the State has chosen us.”

Bloom Medicinals, with affiliate operating companies Midwest Compassion Center in Romeoville, Illinois; Bloom Medicinals of Maryland in Germantown; and Bloom Medicinals of Ohio with dispensaries in Akron, Columbus, Maumee, Painesville Township and the Village of Seven Mile, offers high quality medical cannabis and cannabis products from state-licensed growers, cultivators and processing centers. From its earliest beginnings in 2014, Bloom Medicinals and Midwest Compassion Centers have been recognized as industry leaders, organizing community events, holding educational symposia, and offering its team to speak at nationally recognized conferences for physicians, clinicians, patients and industry leaders.
