The Sears department store in Central Mall Texarkana will be closing in September, according to several employees.
According to employees that spoke with TXK Today, they were notified by management this morning that the store would be closing in September due to financial reasons.
One employee said, “a few people, mostly myself and managers were crying.”
Sears has announced the closing of over 150 stores across the U.S. this year and up until now Texarkana had not been on the list.
Inquires to Sears corporate office have so far gone unanswered.
