The 72nd Annual Four States Fair & Rodeo is right around the corner

As the summer comes to a close, that only means one thing – it’s time for the smell of popcorn, cotton candy and funnel cakes as you make your way down the Four States Fair & Rodeo.

During an entire week, people of all ages will win prizes, eat delicious deep-fried foods, and enjoy carnival rides and rodeo shows at this year’s 72nd annual fair.

The 72nd Annual Four States Fair & Rodeo is only a couple of weeks away – set to take place beginning on September 9 and ending on September 18, 2016 at the Four States Fair Grounds in Texarkana.

This means nine days of fun for the entire family, you won’t want to miss!

Dates and times to remember:

The fair will begin on Friday, September 9th.

Livestock judging begins at 9 a.m. on Friday the 9th and at 9 a.m. again on Saturday the 10th.

Saturday, September 10th at 6:00 p.m., you won’t want to miss the 26th Annual Demolition Derby, taking place inside the Entertainment Center.

“Taste of the Fair Tuesday” will take place September 13th and will give you a chance to sample multiple specialty foods from a variety of vendors for only $2.

Wednesday, September 14, is for an adrenaline rush as bull-riders get ready to give it all they’ve got inside the Four States Entertainment Center. The PRCA Xtreme Bullring Series will be taking place, with some of the best bull riding to hit the Ark-La-Tex.

The Ram PRCA Rodeo will begin inside the Entertainment Center on Thursday, September 15th and will run through Saturday, September 17th.

Free Senior Day is from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 11.

Admission for the Fair is $7 for adults, $5 for kids 6 to 12, and all children under the age of 5 enter for free.

You can also purchase a  weekly fun pass for $65.

Admission for the Demolition Derby on Saturday, September 10 is $15, if you attend with children 12 years old or younger admission is $10.

A McDonald’s Weekend Pass, which includes daily unlimited ride armbands for the first weekend are $30 and good for Friday, September 9 through Sunday, September 11.

Rodeo general admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children. Reserved box seats are $20. Thursday night is free kids night with children under 12 entering for free with a paying adult.
