December 12, 2014 | This region must really loves trains and lights and Christmas decorations and elves – well, I guess anything Christmas-y. Thousands of people braved the cold and weather to come out last night (December 11, 2014) to visit the KCS Train. The parking lot at Tiger Stadium was packed and the line for the buses went all the up and back down the sidewalk at least twice – if not three times. It was sprinkling, but most citizens came prepared with warm clothing and umbrellas. The concession stand at Tiger Stadium was open, and probably sold a bunch of hot chocolate.

The citizens were bused over to site by TISD buses. When you arrived, you eyes were greeted with beautiful lights and extremely helpful elves. Then, you could go inside the cabins and view all the spectacular Christmas decorations adorning every aspect of the cabins.

I imagine everyone thought the wait was worth it. Hope to see everyone out next year.

If you missed it, you can visit the train at other local areas soon.
