THS Tigervision named one of five Regional Winners in Broadcast Excellence

Texas High School’s TigerVision has been named one of five Regional Winners across the country in Broadcast Excellence for School Announcements Show by the Student Television Network (STN).

As the winner in the Southwest region, TigerVision beat out the competition in the School Announcements category for Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The School Announcements category is for mostly live or taped talent and very limited pre-produced content and packages.

Texas High School’s TigerVision is an innovative broadcast journalism program featuring a state-of-the-art production studio fully equipped with the latest in digital and high definition technology. Students get hands-on experience producing a show that airs daily on the THS campus. TigerVision is an Apple Authorized Training Center for Education (AATCe). This certification enables students, upon graduation, to jump-start their futures within the industry or post-secondary institutions and distinguishes them as professional-level users of Apple Pro applications. TigerVision’s Mobile Production Unit allowing them to produce LIVE segments in HD while on the road.
