Texarkana, Texas Fire Department responded to a commercial vehicle fire on the loop near Westlawn Drive Friday afternoon.
A Southern Tire Mart pickup truck carrying tires caught fire for an unknown reason while traveling southbound on Loop 151 near the Westlawn Drive. The truck fire caught the surrounding grass on fire which TTFD quickly had contained.
Several small explosions could be heard coming from the burning truck.
The driver exited the vehicle with no injuries.
