9:00 P.M. Thursday | A major accident was reported to have occurred at Robinson Rd. & S. Lake Drive causing one of the vehicles to roll over onto its side. As the accident was across the street from a fire station it was reported by them and they were quickly on scene. They soon reported that LifeNet and other responders would not be needed as the other car had driven off and no one was there.
Officers soon located a man walking eastbound on Lake Dr. about half a mile away. Radio traffic between officers indicated the suspect had cuts and scratches and appeared to be intoxicated. Further investigation revealed the suspect allegedly had the same last name as the owner of the registered vehicle. The suspect struggled and three officers restrained him as they put him into the patrol car.
