Pamella Annette Hoffmeister, 69, of Maud, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, August 25, 2025 surrounded by family. Pamella was born December 5, 1955 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Bill and Billie Boze.
Pamella was a dedicated Registered Nurse, often stating that it was her calling. She spent the majority of her early career as the Chief Nurse of The University of Houston Health Center. She later retired from Christus St. Michael’s as a post-partem and pediatric nurse.
Pamella was a devoted wife and mother and adored spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. She was a wonderful friend and known as “Mama Pam” to her beloved nursing family. She was always up for a road trip and said that Destin, FL was her happy place.
Her family would describe her as incredibly strong willed, an amazing caregiver, a steadfast Christian, and a smart mouth. She never hesitated to speak her mind and tell you what she thought.
Pamella was preceded in death by both of her parents and two sons: Philip Hoffmeister and David Allen Hoffmeister.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 43 years, David Hoffmeister; four children, Trenton Hoffmeister, Hayley Green, Diana Sheely, and Gregory Hoffmeister; two daughters-in-law, Gail Hoffmeister and Sandy Hoffmeister; two sons-in-laws, Austin Green and Steve Sheely; 22 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials donations to be made to Randy Sams Outreach Shelter, 402 Oak Street, Texarkana, Texas 75501.
