A Texarkana man was shot to death by his former mother in-law today at his place of employment, according to Texarkana, Texas Police.
At approximately 12:20 p.m. Texarkana, Texas Police officers responded to a shooting call in the 3700 block of Summerhill Road. When the officers arrived at the scene they found Russell Scott Cain, 28 of Texarkana, Texas, unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Cain was transported to Christus Saint Michael where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses at the scene were able to provide officers with the name and description of the suspect. Officers located the suspect, Anne Fisher, 52, also of Texarkana, Texas, a short time later and took her into custody. Fisher was transported to the Bi-State Criminal Justice Center to be interviewed by detectives. Charges against Fisher are still pending. This investigation is open and ongoing.
