Texas A&M University-Texarkana held the University’s 105th commencement exercises on Friday, December 5, 2025, inside the Lois & Cary Patterson Student Center on the A&M-Texarkana campus. A total of 224 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students graduated in Fall 2025.

“For those of us who work in higher education, commencement day is one of our favorite days of the year,” said A&M-Texarkana President Dr. Ross Alexander. “It’s a day of celebration— a day to honor and be proud of the work each graduate has done to reach this point. And while no two graduates share the same circumstances or stories along their path, their journeys have all come together on this special day.  I’m confident that the degrees they have earned will serve them well across their lifetimes, and we all look forward to watching them soar.”

Dr. James Henry Russell, Chief Financial Officer at The Arnold Companies, gave the fall 2025 commencement address. A former public-school superintendent and college president, Dr. Russell, an A&M-Texarkana alumnus, has a passion for education, a distinguished business career, and is a tireless advocate for Texarkana. Dr. Russell gave an impactful speech about hard work, lifelong learning, uplifting others, taking care of your family, and taking care of yourself.
