LeRoy Hensley, age 84, of New Boston, Texas, died Thursday, May 28, 2026, in an Ashdown Nursing Home.

Mr. Hensley was born October 3, 1941, in Woodlake, California, and lived the last 16 years in New Boston, Texas. LeRoy was a Christian and a member of the Baptist faith. He was a retired Metal Fabricator Contractor and a Truck Driver. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served his country in the Vietnam War. Corps. LeRoy completed two tours of duty in Vietnam, demonstrating courage, honor, and commitment to his fellow servicemen and his nation.

He loved watching WWE Wrestling every chance he got, spending time fishing, reading a good Western book, or watching one on TV.

In his earlier days, LeRoy found great pleasure in bowling with his wife and friends, country and western dancing, and spending time playing cards/dominos with family and friends.

He was a quiet man, but when he spoke, you better listen. His words carried wisdom, honesty, and strength.

Above all, LeRoy loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They brought him tremendous pride and joy, and the time he spent with them meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Bertha Hensley; his two sisters, Nina Fay Ross and Artie Mae Stogsdill; and two brothers, Ray Hensley and Jackie Hensley.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Glenn Sue Mallett Hensley of New Boston, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Misty Hensley of Lone Oak, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Chuck Turner of Emory, Texas; five grandchildren, Jackie Hensley of Greenville, Texas; Heather Burge and husband, David of Alba, Texas, Jenna Dowty and husband, Jacob Emory, Texas; Brittani Rogers and husband, Tim of Leonard, Texas; Dakota DuMais and husband, Kendall of Farmersville, Texas; thirteen great grandchildren and a host of friends and other relatives.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with Rev. James Hensley officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, on Saturday, May 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M.
