The Sportsplex by HealthCARE Express is propelling itself to the forefront of the Texarkana fitness community with a newly formed strategic partnership with Xcelerate Athletix. Formerly located in the Nash Business Park, XLR8 will be located at the all new Sportsplex Campus on Moore’s Lane this coming April.  XLR8 brings a new layer of dynamic programming to the already extensive offerings of the new Sportsplex.  John Clack Jr. has been chosen as Chief Operating Partner of the Sportsplex. The addition of his unique training facility, combined with his 20 years + of industry experience will lead Texarkana fitness to new levels.

XLR8 is an all-sport athletic performance enhancement program. It is the ultimate leader in speed, agility, strength, and conditioning training to develop athletes, raising them to the next level of performance. In addition to the indoor training facility already offered through the program, XLR8 will now offer an outdoor athletic training field and an outdoor lap pool for underwater resistance training.

“I have so many emotions about it,” John Clack Jr. said, when asked how he felt about this new venture. “I now have the opportunity to influence the lives of significantly more people than what I’ve been limited to. It’s the entire reason over the last five years I’ve been building a world-class training center for all athletes to call home. Now, that dream is closer to a reality.”

The current XLR8 facility encompasses a training space of 6,500 square feet. By partnering with the Sportsplex, the physical space available to train will expand exponentially. The field house at The Sportsplex boasts over 9,000 square feet plus an additional outdoor training area. With this expansion and growth potential, XLR8 is currently seeking new team members. They are already actively recruiting an additional performance coach and two assistant trainers.

The electric and energetic environment of XLR8 is one of the key selling points for new clients and athletes. Clack explains that the program, “is not only physically training young athletes, but also shaping character, determination, and leadership ability, instilling confidence into these young men and women.  Our philosophy is to build relationships. We provide inspiration and encouragement along with the building blocks of science based athletic performance training.”

Enrollment for an incredible summer program with XLR8 kicks off on March 6. The 10 week program begins on June 5th and runs through August 11th. This elite training system is open to athletes entering 3rd grade and extends through the collegiate and pro level.
