ESPN Radio off the air due to vandalism at tower site

According to a Facebook post by ESPN Radio Texarkana the station is currently off the air due to vandalism at the tower site.

According to the post, “94.1 FM ESPN Texarkana, KTRG FM is currently off the air after vandalism at the tower site in a hunting deer lease in Leary, TX,”

Bowie County Sheriff’s Office says that sometime on the night of Wednesday, May 6th the radio station was broken into and the transmitter was vandalized knocking the station off the air.

Freed Am Corp president  Robert DelGiorno said,  “we hope to be back on the air shortly and we are offering a $1,000 cash award to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the alleged perpetrator in this heinous crime.”

According to KTRG they hope to be back on air before the Pleasant Grove playoff game on Friday.

Anyone with information on the alleged vandalism of the KTRG transmitter is encouraged to call the Bowie County Sherrifs Department at 903-798-3149.
