Eye Envy Him barber shop Opened on June 16, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas, at 812 College Drive.  The owner, Margrett Robinson-Davis, calls it Heaven for men, taking her clients into consideration down to every last detail.  Davis’ new business, directly across the street from her current salon Eye Envy, offers services like facials tailored to men in an atmosphere that allows them to feel like they have a place of their own in the city.

Davis is a Texarkana native, only thirty-five-years-old, but has taken her dreams seriously, seriously enough to own two shops in town.  She is a licensed stylist and instructor, wanting to transition into helping other young stylists find their niche while also providing a unique service and atmosphere to her clients.

The aesthetic of Eye Envy Him was of extreme importance, wanting to express a certain vibe to the community, luxury service with a smile.  The contractor, Cody Peek, helped oversee some of the finer details, like horizontal slat wood on the exterior, stained concrete, light fixtures, and even aroma of the barbershop.

“He is basically like the Stan Lee of my whole Marvel.  Reliance was so reliable, living up to their name and always doing their jobs well.”

Davis’ dedication is what really sets her apart from other people who have attempted similar feats. She arrives at the shop at 7:30 am and stays far later than she always intends to.  She even sets aside time to meet with other businesses and students exploring their future careers as a stylist. She believes in building up the community and her competitors because, in the end, Texarkana wins.

On June 27, 2018, Tonsorial Arts Barber College brought students over to Eye Envy Him to discuss what it took for Davis to excel so quickly, considering her young age.  Davis explained that it took years of determination, experience, and mistakes to learn the skills she has acquired.

Davis hopes that one day she can have her salon full of quality artists who are as dedicated as she is about style and helping people feel confident.  As a leader to other burgeoning stylists, she is also setting an example for her two daughters and other women in the community who are wanting to be Girl Boss one day.

Stop by for a hot towel, taper, fresh trim, shave, or whatever you need. To schedule an appointment, contact Davis at (903) 794-0591.
