Weekend Events


The annual Veterans Day Parade is Saturday, November 9, 11;00 AM, beginning at East Broad and Hazel Streets.

All area organizations, schools, clubs, churches and businesses are invited to participate. This year’s theme is ‘American Legion–100 Years’. Remember the Veterans–Support the Troops.

Also: KLFI TV at Beech Street Baptist Church would like to televise this year’s parade, but needs a sponsor or two, to be able to do so. If your business or group wants to sponsor the Veterans’ Parade, please call 870.774.3500.


We will be offering both Adult and Pediatric classes this Saturday, November 9th from 8 am to 4:30 pm. You must register by Friday for this class. Please call 903-823-3270 or visit for more information.

Provides participants to be proficient in performing adult & pediatric first aid and adult & pediatric CPR for childcare providers, industry, teachers and others. Two AHA cards issued: Adult First Aid/CPR/AED & AHA card for Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. NO DOOR REGISTRATION.
