Local Youth Minister Accused of Sexual Assault

unnamed (16)According to court documents a local youth minister is being charged with sexual assault in the fourth degree for allegedly engaging in sexual activity with a person who is less than 16 years of age.

Victoria Rose Nash, 29, was arrested October 30, 2014 after the boy and parents reported the alleged sexual assault to police. A no contact order was also issued by Miller County court prohibiting Nash from contacting or coming within 100 yards of the victim.

Nash was released from jail October 31, 2014 after posting bond on a $5000 bail.

A search warrant affidavit states that at the time of arrest a gift bag was found in the car that was allegedly intended for the victim.

According to court documents the back seats of Nash’s Ford Expedition were in the down position and blankets and other covering items were in the back cargo area. A search warrant return lists a pillow with pillow case, goose down comforter, fleece blanket, and 4 upholstery clippings as items taken by police in the search.

The name of the church has been redacted from court documents to protect the identity of the alleged victim.

The boy allegedly reported that he and Nash had sex at least 30 times.

The sexual assault charge pending against Nash in Miller County is punishable by a fine up to $10,000 and up to six years in an Arkansas prison. Nash is scheduled to be back in court this week.
