December 13, 2014 | Arkansas Children’s Hospital Circle of Friends Texarkana held “Pancakes With Santa” this morning from 8 am to 10 am at Applebees on Saturday, December 13, 2014.
“We are an organization that supports Arkansas Children’s Hospital. 100% of the proceeds goes to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. None of it stays in Texarkana. It is all volunteer,” stated Donna McLaughlin with Texarkana USA Circle of Friends chapter
The organization hosts several events throughout the year. “In February we have a Radio-thon at Kool radio from 7 am to 6 pm where you call and raise money. Our biggest event is in April. It is our Gala – Carnival Under the Stars at Ramage Farms,” stated McLaughlin.
The Texarkana Chapter is holding another event in April. Their Facebook page describes the event as:
ARE YOU A SUCKER??? No, not that kind of “sucker” – a sucker for kids! April is the Circle of Friends Texarkana Sucker Campaign and we are asking you to donate to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

The Texarkana Chapter was started in 1996.
Texarkana USA Chapter
Last year, the Texarkana USA Circle of Friends chapter raised approximately $35,000 for the hospital and has a goal of $41,000 for this year. The chapter would like to have 60 members this year. We would love for YOU to join Texarkana USA!
In FY13, Arkansas Children’s Hospital saw 2,266 patients from Miller County, AR, and 2,701 from Bowie County, TX. There were 98 patient transports and $124,170 in charity care provided to this county.
