Patsy Jean Brownfield, 77, of Paris, TX, went home to be with Jesus on July 1, 2026, at Paris Regional Health.
Patsy was born on January 11,1949 to Cecil and Barbara Huneycutt in Denison, TX. She graduated Denison High School and went on to get her optician license at Texas State Optical. Patsy fell in love with being an optician and dedicated 30 plus years of her life serving her community.
Patsy married the love of her life, Robert Brownfield, in December 1991, where she adopted the name “sweetheart”. Patsy and Robert were dedicated members of the Elks Lodge in Paris, TX. It was there that you would find Patsy doing the two things she loved most, baking and dancing. She was crowned Sweetheart at The Paris Elks Lodge and later became The Exalted Ruler. But let’s not forget, you would never find Patsy without a coffee in her hand.
Patsy is survived by 3 children: Robin Malone (Craig), Byron Long, and Jerry Long, all of Paris, TX; step children Wayne Brownfield and Tammy Brownfield Daniels of Paris, TX. 4 Grand Children: Justin Rosson (Hannah), Chance Johnson (Cami), Aaron Dockery, and Dylan Long. 4 Great-grandchildren: Hagan Dockery, Abel, August, and Maeve Rosson. Her father Cecil Huneycutt (Betty) and a sister, Tammy Slaughter.
Patsy was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert Brownfield, her mother, Barbara Huneycutt, and a brother, Brian Huneycutt.
A service to celebrate Patsy’s life will be announced at a later time.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services, Texarkana, Arkansas.
