Police investigate shooting that left one injured


Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating a shooting near the intersection of Waterman St. and Milam St. that left one person seriously injured.

Police said they responded to shots fired at approximately 9:51 a.m.

According to TTPD, upon arrival officers located a 27-year-old black male of Texarkana, Texas, one block north of the intersection with a gunshot wound.

According to officials, the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black male in a silver four door car.

According to TTPD, the suspect fled in the vehicle prior to officer’s arrival.

This case is still under investigation. Crime Scene Technicians and Detectives are currently processing the scene and interviewing witnesses.
