The Texarkana Arts and Historic District will be hosting free bike tours of downtown Texarkana every Friday in October to showcase the District and encourage residents to engage in active modes of transportation.

The guided bike tours will be offered October 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. Tours will begin and end at the Museum of Regional History and take place from 5:15 – 6:30 p.m. Those interested in attending can rent a bike from Texarkana’s UPcycle Bike Rental Program for $5 per day or bring their own.

This season’s tours will focus on the District’s many historical churches, beautiful murals, and important monuments. Additionally, free appetizers will be served at Pecan Point immediately following the tour.

While reservations are not required, bike rentals are limited and will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
