Southern Arkansas University Theatre is set to perform “Macbeth” at Harton Theatre from October 2-6, 2019.
Students with roles in the play from this area include the following:
- Abigail Harrison, freshman Theatre major from Texarkana. Harrison is a scenic painter.
- Thomas Pilgreen, sophomore Theatre major from Texarkana. Pilgreen is the master carpenter.
- Grace Walker, sophomore Musical Theatre major from Texarkana. Walker will play the role of Lady Laura Macbeth.
- Emma Walker, senior Musical Theatre major from Texarkana. Walker is an assistant stage manager and assistant scenic designer.
The Wednesday-Saturday evening shows will begin at 7:30 p.m., with matinee performances on Saturday, Sept. 5, and Sunday, Sept. 6 beginning at 2:00 p.m.

General admission tickets are $17; $12 for SAU faculty, staff, and senior citizens; and $5 for students. There will be a special “tours and touchdown” price on Saturday, Oct. 5 at $10 per general admission. The show is recommended for viewers of high school ages and up due to content and mild violence.
The play is under the stage direction of Brandon Smith. He is also the fight and intimacy coordinator and the costume designer for this play. Assistant director is Julia Mansur and the production manager is Wally Eastland.
