Floyd Webb, Jr.

July 21, 1934 – August 27, 2026

Mr. Floyd “Tat” Webb Jr., 92, of Buckner, Arkansas, passed away August 27, 2026, at Baptist Health Medical Center–North Little Rock. He was born July 21, 1934, in Shongaloo, Louisiana, to Floyd Talton Webb Sr. and Candy Webb.

Floyd was a man of God, who read his bible and attended church as much as he could. Floyd was baptized at an early age and was a member of the Church of Christ, attending McKamie Road Church of Christ. He attended Lafayette County Training School until the age of 13, when he left school to begin working and helping care for his family, fulfilling his responsibility as the eldest son.

For the majority of his life, Floyd was self-employed—a man of many talents who was never afraid of hard work. From raising bait and hauling pulpwood to driving gravel trucks and traveling to many different states wherever work was available, Floyd was known as a man who could work with his hands. His skills as a farrier even earned him offers to shoe horses professionally, but his love for the country lifestyle always kept him close to home.

Floyd was well known for the game fowl he raised and conditioned alongside his sons and was also a champion breeder. He was an old-fashioned outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, collecting guns, and throwing knives. He was also an avid animal lover. Over the years, his companions included raccoons like Nooney; deer; goats; horses, including Tony, who is remembered for how well trained he was; and especially dogs like Lady, who was known to be by his side everywhere he went.

Above all else, Floyd was a man who prioritized spending time with his family. He never missed a family reunion. He will be remembered by us all as a man who went where he wanted, when he wanted, to see whom he wanted, right up until the Lord granted him the rest that only He can provide.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Talton Webb Sr. and Candy Webb; five sisters, Rosie Steward, Ola Mae Johnson, Annie Lou Watson, Christine Carter, and Christell Anderson; one brother, Sammy Lee Webb; and one grandchild, Demetria L. Webb.

He is survived by his four sons: James Webb of Hot Springs; Larry Matthews of Little Rock; David (Margie) Webb Sr. of Stamps; and Darryl (Carla) Webb Sr. of Buckner. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved with all his heart.

The family would also like to acknowledge Geraldine Howell-Webb, ex-wife; Leonard “Bosie” Mask Sr., cousin; Shari Anderson, niece; Annie Lou Scott, niece; T. Ward, friend; Allen Nix, friend, as they each held a special place in Mr. Floyd Webb’s life. Together, his family and loved ones helped make his 92 years of life all the more worth living.

Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First St. Stamps, AR 71860 Where Pastor James Jackson will serve as Officiant and Eulogist. There will be a public visitation on Friday in the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Interment will be immediately following his service at Buckner Community Cemetery, North College Street and Lafayette County Road 43, Buckner, Arkansas 71827
