Mrs. Jeanette Crosslin-Deloney, 84, of Lockesburg, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of August 24, 2026. She was blessed to be cared for by her daughter until the Lord called her home. She was a lifetime resident of the Lockesburg – White Cliffs area of Sevier County. At an early age she gave her life to Christ and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at White Cliffs, Arkansas.
Mrs. Deloney was born to the late Mr. Dock Crosslin and the late Mrs. Rosie Mae Brown-Crosslin on June 21, 1943. She spent her formative years of education at the Howard County Training School of Tollette, Arkansas and became a proud graduate of the class of 1961. In 1961, she met and married the man who would become the love of her life, Mr. M.D. “Jab” Deloney. The two were joined in Marriage on December 23, 1962, of that union, one daughter, Jacquline “Cookie” Deloney was born.
Mrs. Deloney was a domestic worker for S.A. Westbrook and family where she was employed by them for more than sixty years. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed watching her favorite T.V. Shows. Lifetime, Lifetime Movie Network, and sometimes CNN, and dared anyone to change her channel.
In 2018, she joined Frontline Christian Ministries in Nashville Arkansas, where she remained a faithful member until her health started to decline and she was no longer able to attend.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Mr. M.D. “Jab” Deloney. Her mother, Mrs. Rosie Mae Brown-Crosslin, her father, Mr. Dock Crosslin. Four brothers, L.C. Crosslin, Sylvester Crosslin, Levester Crosslin, and Augusta Crosslin. One sister, Margret Phillips.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Jacquline “Cookie” Deloney of Lockesburg, Arkansas. Two brothers-in-law, Mr. Franklin (Marva) Booker of Goodyear Arizona and Mr. Charles Booker of Tacoma Washington. A goddaughter, Charity Nelson of Ashdown, Arkansas, one bonus daughter, Lynn Westbrook-Dyer of Nashville, Arkansas, one bonus son, Tony “Tonya” Gamble of Nashville, Arkansas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and life-long friends.
Her service will be held at Roland Piggee Memorial Baptist Church, 1415 Highway 27N. Lockesburg, Arkansas, where Pastor Rondy Briggs will serve as Officiant and Eulogist. Public viewing will be on Saturday. September 5, 2026, from 9:45 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at Roland Piggee Memorial Baptist Church, just before her service and interment will be immediately following her service at White Cliffs Cemetery.
