Obituary

Born on June 13, 1931, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Oda Daly and Helen Fleet, Mr. Daly led a life marked by dedication and service. He attended Booker T. Washington High School and went on to earn a master’s degree from Dillard University. Following his education, he proudly served as an Aircraft Mechanic in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1959. He was a proud member of Payne Memorial A.M.E. church In New Orleans, LA.

Mr. Daly married Mary E. Daly, and together they were blessed with three sons: Lloyd Jr., Eric, and Kevin. Later in life, he also embraced the joy of family by adopting his grandson, Chris Daly. After the impact of Hurricane Katrina, he relocated to Texarkana, Texas, where he found companionship and married Mary Louise Graham Daly. While leaving in Texarkana he was a member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church.

A man of varied interests, Mr. Daly enjoyed boating, carpentry, reading the Bible, and working on small appliances. His family remembers him fondly and he is survived by his sons Lloyd Jr., Eric, and Kevin, grandchildren Chris, Nicole, and Lauren Daley, as well as great-grandchildren Jakayden, Addison, and Skylar.

Mr. Daly’s life was one of commitment to family, faith, and country, and he will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
