Robert Earnest

Robert B. Earnest, 80, of Texarkana, passed away on July 2, 2026.

Robert was born on April 24, 1946, in Texarkana to James and Lorrell Earnest. A hardworking and dependable man, he served as a plant manager for 30 years. Known as a true jack of all trades, Robert enjoyed working with his hands and could fix just about anything. One of his greatest passions was restoring his cherished 1976 Corvette, a hobby that brought him much pride and enjoyment.

Above all, Robert was a loving father who treasured the time he spent with his family. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and the many lives he touched throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lorrell Earnest and his wife Margaret Earnest.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Laurie Earnest; his brother, Norman Earnest and wife, Gail, of Texarkana; numerous cousins; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Redlick Cemetery.

Robert’s family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. His legacy of hard work, love for his family, and passion for restoring classic cars will continue to inspire all who knew him.
