Tina Marie Holmes

Tina Marie Holmes, age 66, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026. She was born on June 11, 1960, in Toledo, Ohio, to Shirley Horton and Aaron Wright Jr.

Tina was a dedicated government employee who took pride in her work. Outside of her career, she found joy in the simple things she loved most—watching movies, shopping, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. These moments brought her happiness and gave her opportunities to relax and enjoy the people and things she loved.

Those who knew Tina best would describe her as loving, caring, generous, and strong. She had a heart that made room for everyone. Tina was the kind of person who would give you her very last if she knew you were in need. Her generosity was not only found in the things she gave, but also in the love, support, and encouragement she freely offered to those around her.

Family meant everything to Tina. She was a strong and loving presence for the people she cared for and never hesitated to stand up for them. Through both good times and difficult times, she stood strong for her family, offering them the love, strength, and support they could always count on. She loved deeply, cared sincerely, and made sure the people closest to her knew they were never alone.

Tina’s passing leaves a void that can never truly be filled. Although she is no longer here to share a laugh, watch a movie, cheer for her beloved Cowboys, or simply be there for the people she loved, the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Her loving spirit, generous heart, and unwavering strength will be remembered and cherished for generations to come. Tina will be deeply missed, but the love she gave so freely will remain a lasting part of her family’s lives. Her legacy will live on through the people she loved, the lives she touched, and the memories she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her father, Aaron Wright Jr.; her mother, Shirley Horton; and her stepfather, James Beal.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John Holmes; daughters, Aarica Ray-Boyd and Tiffanie Marsh Cridell; grandchildren, Kendrick Sauls, Sha’Tiya Sauls, Shaun-Paul Marsh, Jeramiah Marsh, and Destiny Davis; great-grandchildren, Jersey Lafayette Johnson and Jimmy Johnson III; and brother, ElDepalo Porter, along with a host of other family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

May her memory forever be a blessing to all who loved her.

A memorial service is pending under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
