A two vehicle accident near Maud, Texas has left one person dead, 3 injured, and started a fire in the woods of Red River Army Depot.
The accident happened around 4 p.m. on County Road 2149 at CR 1102. The road is currently closed while first responders continue to investigate.
One person was transported by LifeNet helicopter from the scene.
Redwater, Maud and New Boston Volunteer Fire Departments all responded. Forest service firefighters and Red River Army Depot Fire Department was also on scene fighting the fire that had spread to depot lands.
No information has been released on the name of the victim.
