Audrea Kay Baker, age 57, of Texarkana, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 26, 2026, in a local hospice facility surrounded by her family.
Audi was born on February 28, 1969, in Texarkana, Texas, a date made even more meaningful because it was also her great- grandmother’s birthday. Audi dedicated her career to caring for others as a retired medical assistant. She took pride in helping those in need and approached her work with compassion, professionalism, and a caring heart. Outside of her career, Audi was known for her spontaneous spirit, her feisty personality, and vibrant love of life. She brought energy wherever she went, never hesitated to speak her mind, and had a way of making those around her laugh. Audi also loved the outdoors. Whether she was deer hunting or catching catfish, she found peace and happiness outside.
Above all, Audi had a heart for Jesus and was a God-fearing woman. Her faith was the foundation of her life and guided the way she loved and cared for others. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, where she found strength in her faith and fellowship with her church family. She held many cherished titles throughout her life: wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Yet the title she treasured most was “Nonnie.” Being a grandmother brought her immeasurable joy, and she loved her grandchildren with all her heart.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Joey Baker of Texarkana, Texas; her three daughters and sons-in-law, Amber and Kenneth Walker of Texarkana, Arkansas; Haley and Devin Dew of Texarkana, Arkansas; Bridgett and Smith Reid of Tyler, Texas; her father Charles and Barbara Hinds of Texarkana, Texas; her mother Patricia Hinds of Texarkana, Arkansas; her mother-in-law Betty Jo Baker of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, Chuck Hinds of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters, Tracey Hinds of Texarkana, Arkansas; and Robin Goss of Longview, Texas; eight grandchildren, Dawson Hinds, Mason Walker, Kensley Walker, Blakely Dew, Bowen Dew, Baker Reid, Beckett Reid, and Bear Reid and a host of friends and other relatives.
Visitation will be held at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, on Monday, June 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with Rev. Wallace Edgar, who is officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of Haley and Devin Dew after funeral service.
