Wylma Irene Hale, age 84, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed through this earthly life surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Hale was born on August 25, 1941, in Murfreesboro, and lived in Texarkana most of her life. Irene was the office manager for David Potter’s Construction Company, where she oversaw the day-to-day operations with professionalism, dedication, and care. She was known for her strong work ethic, organizational skills, and the relationships she built with co-workers and clients throughout her career. Above all, Irene was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, caring sister, and loyal friend to many. She treasured the time she spent with her family and friends, and her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love touched countless lives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monte Hale; her son, Ricky Archer; her son-in-law, Scott Reeder; her grandson, Kyle Hale; and her parents, Carl and Wylma Jester.

She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Reeder; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Doug and Karen Hale and Daniel and Vicki Capps; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carlene and Al Carter, Jerri and Billy Fuller, and Carolyn and Steve Bennett; three grandchildren, Brandy Scott, Blakely Reeder and his wife, Krista, and Cody Hale and his wife, Paige; eight great-grandchildren, Tristen, Raine, Kinsler, Maverick, Eli, Sally Bennett, and Mary; and one great-great granddaughter, Whitley and a host of friends and other relatives.

A celebration of Irene’s life will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas Funeral Home with Mark Lafferty officiating.
