Colorado Man Arrested After Stabbing Outside Walk-On’s in Texarkana

A 31‑year‑old Colorado man is facing a second‑degree felony charge after a fight outside Walk‑On’s Sports Bistreaux in Texarkana turned into a stabbing late Sunday night, according to Bi‑State Justice Center jail records and emergency radio traffic monitored by TXK Today.

Maxwell Linz Leutwyler, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, was booked into the Bi‑State Justice Center at 2:48 a.m. Monday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Jail records list the offense time as 10 p.m. Sunday and the arrest location as the Murphy USA at 4001 New Boston Road.

Texarkana Texas Police and Fire were dispatched to Walk‑On’s shortly after 10 p.m. for a fight outside the restaurant. Within about a minute, dispatch upgraded the call to a stabbing. Dispatchers described the suspect as a white male with long hair, large hoop earrings, and a red shirt who left the scene in an SUV.

Texarkana Fire’s Engine 3 staged nearby until police secured the scene, and LifeNet was cleared to enter around 10:08 p.m. The victim was transported to the hospital. Their condition has not been released.

Officers were sent to the Murphy USA across from Walmart on New Boston Road, where a man was detained around 10:12 p.m. Police compared him with camera footage from Walk‑On’s, and a suspect vehicle with a Colorado license plate was located in the parking lot and later impounded. By 10:16 p.m., officers reported a possible suspect in custody.

Police photographed the victim’s injuries and took a statement at the hospital.
