Miller County Man Gets Probation In Sexual Assault Case

TEXARKANA, Ark. – A man accused of sexually abusing two girls more than a decade ago was sentenced to 15 years probation this week in Miller County.

Randy Lynn Henry, 51, pled guilty on Tuesday to two counts of first-degree sexual assault and was sentenced to 15 years probation as part of a plea bargain, according to court records. Henry must register as a sex offender and is prohibited from having any contact with the two victims.

Henry was initially charged last year with three counts of rape and three counts of first-degree sexual assault, court records show. At sentencing before Circuit Judge Wren Autrey, two of the rape charges were reduced to first-degree sexual assault. Henry admitted his guilt to those two amended charges and the remaining count of rape and three counts of sexual assault were dismissed.

Each of the two counts Henry pleaded guilty to relate to a different victim.

Both of the victims were reportedly young teens when the abuse occurred, according to court records. The victims were abused from 2008 to 2015, according to court records.

Henry was not ordered to pay a fine. He is required to pay $150 in court costs, $250 for a DNA sample fee, a $100 bailiff fee and a $40 booking fee. Henry may also be required to pay fees in connection with his supervision by Arkansas probation officials.

Henry is represented by Texarkana lawyer John Pickett. Prosecuting Attorney Connie Mitchell represented the state.
