Betty Sue Nix

Betty Nix, age 93 of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Betty was born February 25, 1933 in Texarkana. She was an employee of the Four States Fair, and spent over 50 years with the fair association, and a Christian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bobby) Nix, son William, grandson William Jr & great grandson Dustin Perkins.

She is survived by her daughter, Danette Perkins; five grandchildren Lisa Garner and husband Paul, Robert Perkins Jr and wife Wendy, Trey Hawkins and wife Emily, Anderia and Rachel.

Seventeen great grandchildren Caleb, Peyton, Nick, Dawson, Dylan, Gracie & husband Gage, Kayla, Alax & wife Brianna, Amiyah, Lane,Trevor, Natalie, Junior, Levi, Aubrey & eight great great grands which includes Leo, Caleb, Skylar, AJ, Jalyah, Stormi, Ryker & Delylah

Family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm Friday, October 16, 2026 at East Funeral Home-Downtown with Celebration of Life to follow at 2pm in East Memorial Chapel.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
