Suicide Prevention Awareness Month Resource Fair Details

The Bowie County Coalition for Heroes will host a Suicide Prevention Awareness Month Resource Fair on Wednesday, September 16, offering the community a morning of connection, support, and education focused on mental wellness and suicide prevention. The event will take place from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hospice of Texarkana, located at 2407 Galleria Oaks Drive in Texarkana, Texas.

The resource fair is designed to honor the community and its heroes, including first responders, service providers, and individuals who work daily to support mental health and crisis intervention. Organizers say the event aims to bring people together, raise awareness, and empower residents with tools and resources that can make a life‑saving difference.

The morning will feature free coffee and doughnuts, informational booths, car displays, and speakers from multiple helping agencies. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local professionals, learn about available services, and connect with organizations dedicated to prevention, recovery, and ongoing support.

The Coalition emphasizes four core themes for the event: Support, Educate, Empower, and Hope — a message reflected throughout the fair’s programming. The event also reinforces the belief that “You Matter. We Care. Help is Here,” encouraging anyone struggling or seeking guidance to reach out.
