The 2015 New Member Project for Junior League of Texarkana is one that will touch hundreds and many can be a part of its success. We want to give the Paul L. Dunbar Preschool Library an Extreme Makeover!

Paul L. Dunbar has over 300 preschool age children. It is the staff’s desire to increase the student’s interest and skills in reading. In order to achieve this, the school’s library is in need of a redesign and more age appropriate books.

The public can participate and help us in two different ways.

In recognition of National Family Literacy Day, we will be conducting an online fundraising book fair. You can purchase books for your family at www.txklovesbooks.com.

Usborne books will donate 50% of each sale to purchase new books for the school. You may also donate money towards our book drive at https://www.youcaring.com/jlextrememakeover. All donated funds will go towards the purchase of the books.

For each donation, Usborne books will match it by 50 percent. This means a $20 donations will actually provide $30 worth of books for the school.

Please stay connected to our project plus view demos of Usborne’s awesome books by visiting us on Facebook at Junior League Extreme Makeover: School Library Edition.

Books can easily change lives. By participating, you can help us change a life in our community.

Contact Niccqueta Payton at 903-650-3145 for additional information on the project.
