November 11, 2014 | National Weather Service issued a “Special Weather Statement” for Texarkana, Ashdown, Hope, Magnolia, Shreveport, Clarksville, Atlanta and Jefferson regarding:

AN ABRUPT CHANGE TO THE WEATHER WILL BE COMING TODAY AND WILL HANG AROUND THROUGH THE UPCOMING WEEKEND IN THE FORM OF MUCCOLDER TEMPERATURES ...

The temperature is expected to drop at least 15 to 20 degrees this Veterans Day. The NWS will probably issue a freeze warning later today:

FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE NORTHERN HALF OF NORTHEAST TEXAS...SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS. A FREEZE WARNING WILL LIKELY BE POSTED LATER TODAY FOR THE OVERNIGHT HOURS TONIGHT.

LEAST 20 DEGREES BEHIND THIS BOUNDARY TODAY ALONG WITH STRONG
NORTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. AS A RESULT…A
LAKE WIND ADVISORY HAS BEEN POSTED TODAY FOR ALL OF THE FOUR STATE
REGION EXCEPT THE SOUTHERN AND EASTERN THIRD OF NORTHERN
LOUISIANA.

CLOUDS WILL CLEAR FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST LATER TODAY AND WITH
MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES EXPECTED TONIGHT ACROSS ALL BUT EAST CENTRAL
LOUISIANA…FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED FOR PORTIONS OF THE
FOUR STATE REGION TONIGHT. THESE FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE
EXPECTED ACROSS THE NORTHERN HALF OF NORTHEAST TEXAS…SOUTHEAST
OKLAHOMA AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS. A FREEZE WARNING
