Facebook AIDS Video Hoax or Real?

In a video that is currently being passed around the Ark-La-Tex a masked man claims to be purposefully infecting women in Texarkana with AIDS.

The video starts off with the man saying, “Hi my name is Joe and I’m from Shreveport. I’ve infected many women in Texarkana. I have a list of their names” He then goes on to list about 30 names, and then says “you ladies need to get yourself checked, just because I make it rain in the club doesn’t mean I don’t have AIDS.”

The video was posted 24 hours ago and has around 3000 shares on social networking site Facebook.

Shreveport Police public information officer Marcus Hines said that Shreveport police had no information on this when asked for comment.

Texarkana, Texas Public Information Officer Aaron Brower said that they had also received calls about the video, but the Arkansas-side is leading the investigation.

Texarkana, Arkansas Public Information Officer Kristi Mitchell says they’ve received calls about the video allegations, but so far no charges have been filed.

“Detectives are looking into the validity of this video. They’re asking that any female named in the video to come forward to speak with detectives and possibly file charges if it’s a true event,” said Officer Mitchell.

Texarkana Arkansas Police Department strongly encourages any women named in the video to a file a complaint with TAPD.”
