TXK Today has paired with the Animal Care and Adoption Center in Texarkana, Arkansas in order to shed a light and bring attention to the animals in the shelter, in hope of finding each and every animal a devoted owner.
According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, approximately 7.6 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, approximately 3.9 million are dogs and 3.4 million are cats and each year, approximately 2.7 million animals are euthanized.
