Investigation Continues in Sunday Morning Shooting



On October 5th, 2014, Texarkana, Arkansas Police department responded to a several shots fired on State Line Avenue.

On October 5th, 2014 at approximately 1:00am Texarkana Arkansas Police Department received a 911 call of several shots fired at 4120 North State Line Avenue, the Race Way. Upon officers arrival it was determined that a physical altercation occurred that resulted in shots fired near the parking lot of the business.

Two subjects were struck by the gunshots. One of the victims, Nathaniel Cleveland, B/M 28yoa, was taken to the ER at Saint Michael’s. At this time he is in stable condition. The second gunshot victim, Fred Eatherly, B/M 30yoa, was taken to the ER at Wadley and later passed away due to his injuries.

CID was contacted and responded. Several Detectives are currently working to gather information and speak with witnesses.
