A possible tornado or heavy straight line winds caused wide spread damage in the area of Old Blackman Ferry Rd. and Union Rd. in Texarkana, Ark.
Texarkana, Arkansas Fire and police are going door to door checking on residents.
Union Rd. and numerous other roads in the area are blocked by numerous downed trees and power lines, hampering rescue crews efforts.
At least one person has been reported trapped in house with downed trees on it.
It will not be clear if it was a tornado or straight line winds that caused the damage until the national weather services gets a survey crew to the scene.
Southwest Arkansas Electric reports 600 customers without power. SWEPCO reports 476 without power.
