Texarkana, Texas Police are investigating the robbery of a local Wells Fargo bank that occurred this afternoon.
At approximately 2:55 p.m. today Texarkana, Texas Police responded to a bank robbery call at the Wells Fargo bank in the 1700 block of New Boston Road. The bank teller told the officers at the scene that a black man, wearing a black t-shirt and a black hat, passed her a note demanding money. The teller complied with the demand and the man left the bank with the cash from her teller drawer. No weapon was displayed.
Detectives believe that the suspect fled west from the scene on foot. Video of the robbery has not yet been made available to police.
The amount of currency taken in the robbery will not be released for the integrity of the investigation.
