Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, Mimi, and dear friend to many. She married Noah Braley in 1960, and they spent 65 wonderful years together before his passing in 2025.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters; Diana Lynne and husband John Curtis, Jr., of Many, Louisiana, and Vicki Michelle and husband Douglas Lawrence of Shreveport, Louisiana; Four grandchildren, Morgan and husband Lt. Col. Joseph Ulisse, Alexa and husband Lt. Col. Ryan Davis, Noah Lawrence and wife Ramona, and Ashton Lawrence and wife Yeh-Chia Tseng; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Ulisse and Beckett Davis; along with a host of other family, friends, and business associates.
Dorothy was a long-time member of Waller Baptist Church. She and Noah loved the people and the fellowship they found there. A visit to the Holy Land was a life-changing experience that strengthened their walk with Jesus. Dorothy was employed for over twenty years at New York Life Insurance Company as the Assistant Office Manager. She enjoyed working with her colleagues, and many remained friends after she retired. Dorothy, along with a group of friends, established the Red River Reachers Investment Club. While working in the investment group, she developed a passion for researching financial trends to discover new stocks and opportunities. Her love for gardening and nurturing flowers allowed her to surround herself with beauty.
Dorothy and Noah were proud of the family they built together. Their grandchildren and great-grandchildren were their pride and joy. Dorothy loved people deeply, gave thoughtfully of time and possessions, and has finally returned home to heaven with her beloved Noah, her parents, and her siblings.
