Julia ” Judy” Hardin Lamon

Julia “Judy” Hardin Lamon age 87, went to her heavenly home August 10, 2026.

Julia, was born and raised in Texarkana. She later moved away, became a nurse, and devoted herself to caring for others while raising her family. In time, she returned to the hometown she loved.

Her Christian faith was the foundation of her life. She loved sharing the love of Jesus with others, and whenever someone faced a difficult situation, she would remind them, “Give it to God, His plan is the best plan.”

She loved gardening and canning the food she grew, and she had a passion for crafts. There wasn’t a craft she wouldn’t try at least once.

She will be remembered for her faith, caring heart, creativity, and most of all, the love she gave to her family. Her family finds comfort knowing she is now with the Savior she loved so dearly.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice Barham(Jeff) and Winona Smith (Paul Funck) and her son Sidney Barber. Her grandchildren are Jacob Barham (Tiffany), Jennifer(Carl), Gary Barber, Angelia Elkins(Ian Averette), Jeremy Smith and Kirt Smith. She was blessed with 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Her sister Janice Moore and brother Sidney Hardin(Sue See).

She was preceded in death by her husband Guy Lamon and Robert “Bob” Rocka. As well as her parents Leonard and Lucille Hardin.
