Larry Joe Wilson, age 83, of Fouke, Arkansas, entered glory on Thursday, June 25, 2026, with his family by his side.

Larry was born February 11, 1943, in Russellville, Arkansas, and lived in Fouke most of his life. He was a dedicated entrepreneur whose hard work and determination enabled him to build and manage several rental properties throughout town. He was a skilled and talented craftsman who took great pride in his work. He was never one to shy away from a challenge; he approached every project and task with determination, creativity, and attention to detail. Larry never used the word “can’t.” He believed that determination, hard work, and faith could overcome any obstacle.  

Larry was formerly employed by College Hill Drug and worked as a private investigator. Currently, he was employed by Robbins Toyota, where he was a valued member of the team.  

Larry was an excellent cook who found great joy in preparing meals for family and friends. He loved bringing people together around the table, and one of his greatest pleasures was sharing his delicious food with others.

He was a member of Lighthouse  Assembly of God Church, where he served faithfully as a deacon and Sunday school teacher, sharing God’s Word with wisdom, humility, and compassion. Larry was also a Bible scholar who found great joy in studying the Scriptures and encouraging others in their faith. Larry was a kind, honest, and joyful man with a goofy sense of humor that could brighten anyone’s day. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred Wilson; one brother, Barry Don Wilson; and one sister, Patty Sue Sampler.

He is survived by his wife of forty years, Jeri Wilson of Fouke, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Bob Rabalais of Waco, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Carolyn Wilson of Sandy Hook, Mississippi; one sister, Shirley Hardesty of Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, 4801 Parkway Drive, Texarkana, Arkansas 71854 with Rev. Jason Griffin, officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
