Martin Glen Rowton, age 74, of Genoa, Arkansas, died on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in a local hospital.
Mr. Rowton was born on April 4, 1952, in Texarkana, Arkansas, and lived in the Fouke and Genoa Area most of his life. Mr. Rowton retired from GE Railcar after thirty years of service with the company. Martin found pleasure in planting his garden each year and sharing his produce with his family and friends. He enjoyed working in the yard and taking his dogs for a run through the countryside. Martin found joy in the simple things in life, spending time around the house with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Sybil Rowton; his son, Brent Rowton; two daughters, Marcie Miller and Dana Rowton; his sister, Joyce Reynolds; and his four brothers, Wayne Rowton, Robert Rowton, Dennis “Dinky” Rowton, and Gerald Rowton.
He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Debra Rowton of Genoa, Arkansas; three daughters, Lori Rowton, and her husband, Brandon Roldan; Jennifer Rowton; and Karrie Vanderbilt; three brothers, Randall Rowton, Kelly Rowton, and Jay Rowton; two sisters, Linda Bishop and Connie Nolte; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and other relatives.
Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas Chapel, with Rev. Jay Rowton officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M.
