Rose Marie Tharp, age 74, of Genoa, Arkansas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 31, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Tharp was born March 14, 1946 in Texarkana, Texas. She was a member of Genoa Central Church of Christ and was a retired account clerk. She enjoyed front porch sittin’ and spending time with her family. To her grandkids she was best known as “MeMe” or “RoRo”. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Sr., and Ollie Tharp and one brother, Charles Tharp Jr.
She is survived by one daughter and son in-law, Melissa and Keith McCoy of Genoa, Arkansas; one son, Brad Tharp of Genoa, Arkansas; one brother, John Tharp of Genoa, Arkansas; one sister and brother in-law, Mary and Robert Williams of Genoa, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Jonathon McCoy of Atlanta, Georgia, Makayla McCoy, Madison Tharp, Kolten McCoy all of Genoa, Arkansas; one great grandson, James McCoy of North Carolina and a host of other friends and relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tharp will be Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas Chapel with Lance Mayes officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Dierksen Hospice, 4613 Parkway Dr. Texarkana, Arkansas.
The family will be at the McCoy residence.
