Joyce Ann Anderson, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home on July 25, 2026. She was born on February 9, 1942, to Ellis and Thelma Murray.

Joyce Ann Anderson, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home on July 25, 2026. She was born on February 9, 1942, to Ellis and Thelma Murray.
Joyce was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a dedicated homemaker. She found joy in refurbishing furniture and treasured the many adventures she shared with her husband, Robert, whether visiting the casino or spending a day at the horse races. Above all, Joyce’s greatest happiness came from the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Anderson; her son, Shawn Anderson; her parents, Ellis and Thelma Murray; and her brothers, Joe Murray, Henry Murray, and G.W. Murray.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Joyce Morton and husband Darrell, Christine Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, and Tina Anderson; her grandchildren, Ray, Autumn, Austin, Josh, Jared, Calli, Cami, Nicholas, and Kassidy; her great-grandchildren, Braylyn, Paysen, Maddux, Alyza, J.J., Nathan, Anna Ruth, Hudson, Ermy, River, Mia, Addie, and Everlee; her siblings, Chucky Murray, Alton Murray, Billy Murray, Johnny Murray, Carolyn Williams, Candy Murray, and Jackie Murray; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A memorial service celebrating Joyce’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Chapelwood Funeral Home, with Bro. Wallace Edgar officiating.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Joyce’s daughter, Joyce Morton, for the loving care, compassion, and unwavering devotion she gave her mother throughout her final years.
