Bruce Jerome Pate, age 61, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. He was born in Texarkana, Texas on August 18, 1964, to Virgie and L.J. Pate.
Before his time working, he was an excellent caregiver for both of his parents until their passing. He spent his working days at Texarkana Gazette until they closed, in the maintenance department at Walmart, and at Classic Car Wash. He graduated from Texarkana College.
He was a member of Hampton Church of Christ. His family would describe him as strong-willed and very independent.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; one brother, J.C. Pate; and one sister, Diana Fisher.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Sheri Pate; along with other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 10:00 A.M.
