A&M-Texarkana offers Certificate in Nonprofit Management

The Office of Extended Education and Community Development at Texas A&M University-Texarkana has partnered with MindEdge Learning to offer an online Certificate in Nonprofit Management.

 

The certificate program introduces learners to key current management issues for nonprofit organizations. Fundraising, board and volunteer development, budgeting, reading financial statements, leadership, marketing and setting strategic direction are addressed in the curriculum.

 

“Each three- to five-hour, self-paced course offers interactive exercises, videos, selected readings, case studies and self-assessments that engage students and help them practice effective decision making in a nonprofit setting,” said Shelley Caraway, executive director of Extended Education and Community Development at A&M-Texarkana. “This course is designed for those who currently work in or who desire a career in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications and marketing, and community and social services management.”

  • Capital Campaigns
  • Fundraising for Nonprofit Organizations
  • How to Read a Nonprofit Financial Statement
  • Introduction to Grant Writing
  • Introduction to Nonprofit Management
  • Leadership in a Nonprofit Organization
  • Nonprofit Board and Volunteer Development
  • Principles of Marketing for Nonprofit Organizations
  • Social Media for Nonprofits
  • Strategy for Nonprofit Organizations

 

 

Students must achieve an average test score of at least 70 percent to meet the minimum successful completion requirement and qualify to receive International Association for Continuing Education and Training continuing education unit (CEU) credits. Students who complete the certificate program will receive 5.5 CEUs.

MindEdge Learning is approved as a Continuing Education Provider for Certified Fund Raising Executives (CFRE) International. CFRE International offers the only internationally-recognized baseline professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives. Students who complete the Certificate in Nonprofit Management can earn 26 CFRE continuing education points.

Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate of completion for this online course suite. This certificate has no textbooks or prerequisites.

 

Cost for the entire Certificate in Nonprofit Management suite is $699. Students also may register for individual courses within the certificate program.
