Eagle Open House set for Thursday at A&M-Texarkana

Texas A&M University-Texarkana will host Eagle Open House for prospective students and their families on Thursday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University Center on the campus of A&M-Texarkana, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas.

 

This year’s theme is “Wanted: All Future Eagles.” Exhibit hall booths will be decorated with a western theme. Students interested in attending A&M-Texarkana in the summer and fall are encouraged to attend.

 

Registration is from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on the first floor of the University Center.

 

Following is the schedule of events:

 

10-10:15 a.m.                          Welcome and Schedule Overview (Eagle Hall)

10:15-10:45 a.m.                     Breakout Session I

 

10:45 -11:15 a.m.                    Breakout Session II

 

11:15-11:45 a.m.                     Lunch and Exhibit Hall

 

11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.                        Student Life, Housing and First Year Experience (Eagle Hall)

 

12:30-1:15 p.m.                       Financial Aid (Eagle Hall)

 

1:15-1:45 p.m.                         Closing and Prizes

 

1:45 – 2:30 p.m.                      Financial Aid Workshop and Campus Tours

 

Faculty and staff will be available to visit with prospective students and their family members during three exhibit hall sessions.

 

Breakout sessions will focus on majors in the College of Education and Liberal Arts; College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics; and College of Business. There also will be campus tours and sessions on transferring to A&M-Texarkana, financial aid and scholarships, and student life and housing.

 

Each participant will have a customized itinerary for the day.
