Texas A&M University-Texarkana, in partnership with Northeast Texas Community College, will host a transfer workshop from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, in Room 151 of the University Health Sciences Center on the Northeast Texas Community College campus, 2886 FM 1735, Chapel Hill Rd., Mount Pleasant, Texas.

The purpose of the transfer workshop is to provide information and assistance to students who plan to transfer to A&M-Texarkana upon completing their associate degrees at Northeast Texas Community College.

Representatives from the A&M-Texarkana College of Business, College of Education and Liberal Arts, and College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics will be on hand to provide information about programs and courses available at the university.

Through a partnership between NTCC and A&M-Texarkana, four teacher certification programs and other baccalaureate degrees are currently being offered on the NTCC campus.

Computers will be available to complete an admissions application, request transcripts and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Refreshments will be served.

“If you are graduating in May from NTCC and plan to transfer to A&M-Texarkana, this workshop is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable information,” said Kelly Coke, director of programs and instructor of Adult Education at A&M-Texarkana at NTCC. “You will have a one-on-one experience with A&M-Texarkana faculty/staff and be able to complete necessary documents to facilitate a smooth transfer.”
